Re-assessment of existing DLA claimants
As long as you comply with the re-assessment process, your existing DLA award
will continue until a decision has been made on your PIP entitlement. Once a
decision has been made on your PIP entitlement, the DLA award will then
continue for a further 28 days, regardless of the outcome of the PIP decision. If
there is a decision to award PIP, it will become payable at the end of this 28-day
period.

Winter fuel payments
A winter fuel payment will no longer be payable unless in the qualifying week you:
• are ordinarily resident in the UK; or
• are habitually resident in a European Economic Area state (other than the UK)
or Switzerland, the EU regulations on the coordination apply to you and you
have a ‘genuine and sufficient link to the UK social security system’ (Statutory
Instrument 2013/1509).
