As I cannot post in the News section due to a glitch in our software, this is for information only.
High Price To Pay For Being Disabled
Also, please check our News section as there are six new topics posted by John Pring who runs www.disabilitynewsservice.com
Finally, The new minister for disabled people – a former spin doctor who idolised Margaret Thatcher – has received a mixed welcome from disability campaigners.
Mike Penning, the Conservative MP for Hemel Hempstead, was until this week the minister responsible for trying to persuade politicians in Northern Ireland to accept the coalition’s controversial programme of welfare cuts and reforms.
But he has now replaced Esther McVey, who after just a year in the post is promoted to employment minister, another key role for disabled people and one which includes responsibility for the much-criticised work capability assessment (WCA). She replaces her Tory colleague Mark Hoban, who has been sacked.
As we no longer can run the discussion forum, I'm afraid this thread is locked.
You can however respond to this in News if you wish, since not all members are affected by the glitch in the software.
