ESA is this normal. was created by AIRAM
My partner had an ATOS medical over 2 years ago and was put into the ESA Support group. Now he has another ATOS form which he has to fill in and send back by 7/11/2013.We looked back at the letter he received 2 years ago,it does not state anywhere on the letter that he would be sent for again. Now we are stressing again.about this and we do not need the extra pressure. We know that if you are put into the ESA WRAG that its only for 12 months. But not for the ESA Support.I have made an appointment with my partners GP for tomorrow. But the only thing is its a new GP,as my partners GP has left the practise. We are both ill .We both look after each other with the help of our grown up children. We do not get any cares allowance, as I awaiting on a answer on a PIP application form which was sent back to them in July 2013,before we can do anything else on that front. We are also grieving for My Father, as he died a few weeks ago,we are finding it hard to come to terms with his death. Now the added pressure from this, is making everything so hard. Can anyone advise or tell me where we could go for help. this normal procedure for ESA Support any help would be appreciated. Thank You. :( :(

I am afraid that all ESA claimants should expect to be re-assessed on a regular basis, the maximum period for the Support Group is three years.

You may struggle to get help due to the cut back of Legal Aid but have a look at the following which includes some advice agencies and how to search for those that are local to you.

Where to get advice?

You can also use our claim guides

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/esa

there is an electronic version of the form that might make it easier for you to complete

Using The PDF Version Of The ESA50 Questionnaire

In terms of evidence, try having a look at your partners medical records.
