Can someone help me with some advice for my daughter in law. She was on ESA WRAG until last October and her partner working hours increased meaning her ESA stopped. If she puts a fresh application in and is placed in the WRAG group again is she entitled to ESA for 12 months with it being a fresh claim. Also how long does it take hear back when sending back ESA forms for a revewal of circumstances.
Many thanks for any help.

Hi Suzy,

I'm afraid that your dil would only be entitled to Contributary ESA again if she was placed into the Support Group, at a future reassessment, due to a worsening of her condition, or if she re-qualified by gaining further NI contributions from (I think it would be 2 years worth of) employment.

I don't know how long it would take DWP to respond to a change in circumstances.
