hi every one in confusing dwp form's land
i have been given the oppertunity to live in spain but am a little confused by the form
BF5 the gov website (claiming benefits if yoy live, move or travel abroad states that you can go to any eec country for
1. up to 4 weeks but less than a year

2. GOING ABROAD FOR UP TO 26 WEEKS FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT FOR YOURSELF OR YOUR CHILD
IT DOESEN'T MATTER WHICH COUNTRY YOU GO TO

3.GOING ABROAD FOR MORE THAN A YEAR
IT STATES THAT "YOU CAN GET CONTRIBUTIONS BASED ESA IN THE EEA OR SWITZERLAND IF YOU ARE ELIGIBLE AND IF YOU HAVE PAID ENOUGH NATIONAL INSURANCE CONTRIBUTIONS"
I HAVE TRIED AND TRIED BUT CANNOT FIND WHAT "ELIGIBLE" MEANS
PLEASE CAN ANY BODY HELP ME AS I AM ABOUT TO LOSE MY HOME IN ENGLAND AND NEED TO KNOW WHAT TO DO FOR THE BEST
KIND REGARDS

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

I am afraid we do not advise on claiming benefits while abroad, this is a complicated and changing area of benefit law so you need to get face to face advice from an advisor with knowledge in this area.

Where to get advice?
