Can you tell what age will PIPs stop being paid? DLA was paid up to and then over the age of 65.
I have read that PIPs will be paid up to 64yr, after this will it just stop? ( are you expected to stop being disabled after this age).
I will be 60yr this October and I receive DVL at the higher rate. I have received a letter from DWP to tell me I can not clam my state pension until 20018 I will be 65yr.
What will happen when I go over to PIPs in 2015, we I only receive this for 3yrs?
I have looked everywhere to find this information, but it just says up to 64yr. But the retirement age is now 65!

To try and explain.
Anyone under the age of 65 can make a claim for PIP, those in receipt of PIP at age 65 will continue to receive PIP as long as they remain eligible.
Claimants over 65 or over need claim Attendance Allowance.
DLA claimants with a fixed term award will be migrated to PIP from October, beginning with those with a fixed term award renewing on or after 24 February 2014.
DLA claimants with an indefinite award will be transferred from 2015.
The PIP Transfer legislation covers anybody who will be over 65 when they are actually transferred.
I hope this explains it.

No, I think you have misunderstood my post
Ignoring DLA as it is no longer possible for adults to make a new claim.
Only claimants under 65 can make a new claim for PIP.
Those who are 65 or over can only claim Attendance Allowance.
However, if someone made a successful claim for PIP when they were under 65 then as long as they remain eligible, they will continue to receive PIP after they reach 65, they will not have to switch to AA.
Hope this explains it.

do you mean someone with a disability can claim Attendance allowance as well as DLA/PIP?
the person is 88 now and living alone. only two years ago, she was advised and helped to claim ATtendance allowance and she got it.
is she allowed to claim DLA/PIP as well?
