Travelling to medical assesment. was created by Dickdastardly
I live in Leicester, and was given an appointment at the center there. Two days later it was re-scheduled to Derby, at 09:00. It was impossible to get there by public transport by that time, and I wrote and told them so (I cannot hear on the telephone). They re-scheduled again with a PM appointment, once again in Derby. My problem is, the instructions to get there from my home are quite complex, and involve several buses, a train, and a lot more walking than I am capable of. How should I respond?

Hi Dd,

The only other two options are a Home Assessment, or that ATOS agree to provide a Taxi door to door.

In either scenario, you would have to contact ATOS WCA Team, usually they stipulate that you gain written support from your G.P.

I am afraid that unless you can gain some written confirmation from ATOS on either of the above options, then you would need to attend, or face the prospect of your benefit ceasing.

You could try and enlist the support of your M.P. :

Contacting your MP

I believe that the traveling time involved should not exceed 90 minutes either way.
