Hello All

I would just like to say on behalf of my wife, a huge thank you for the second to none excellent advice that you present on your Site.

My wife has, after over two months of anguish in waiting, been placed correctly into the Support Group and although we fully expect future reviews, at least for now she is managing to make sense of the situation and try and get on with some sort of life.

She has both physical problems, with an MS type illness and mental health problems which are difficult on their own, let alone fighting illness from all angles.

The waiting time nearly destroyed her - she could not sleep, could not eat and suffered ongoing exacerbations of her symptoms day after day. I truly believe that somebody in Government or Opposition should look at what this decision waiting time does to vulnerable, seriously ill Claimants.

All she could focus on was "What if..." "How will I live ?" It has been more than a nightmare.

Your in depth information and guidance has been invaluable and we both thank you sincerely for the assistance available.

Very best wishes Huskymum3101

That is good news! Thank you so much for letting us know - and for your kind words about this site :)

If you would like to know when to expect reassessment, your wife can phone DWP and ask for the 'prognosis,' which should be on the computer screen. If you wish to have a copy of all the paperwork associated with this claim you can submit a 'Subject Access Request'

If your username is your wife's real name, you might want to change it in order to maintain a degree of anonymity. It can be done easily by following the advice in this FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
