ESA Tribunal etc. was created by sick-note
I know that this is probably old hat,but I filled in the ESA form late last year and was put into the WRAG which I appealed against to no avail. Earlier this year I attended a Tribunal with my spouse who was allowed to say nothing and my care worker who was allowed to say a little.

There were two people on the bench a Doctor and Judge and some Professor or someone from the DWP who was monitoring the proceedings. The questions went on and on and after 40 minutes I told them that I could stand no more; as I was ill. I was released from the interrogation and informed that their decision would be posted out to me which it was and I received a positive result; put into the support group. I wouldn't say that they were nasty and were probably just doing their job but it aint for the faint hearted and I don't think that the fact that they were being monitored made things very easy for any of us.

As the Tribunal judge made no recommendation on when I should be seen again by the powers that be we tried to Contact the DWP by phone to ask them when the next medical review date for me would be, but we cannot get through to them. So, we gotta write or just wait and see as it is not over at all yet folks!

Anyway, thank goodness for your website, it is very informative and helpful. Roll on the next nightmare PIP. Regards all.

Congratulations on winning your appeal.

You should be able to get your re-assessment date over the phone, but it may be cheaper to simply write to them asking for the information.

Thank you for your reply Gordon. I wasn't trying to put anybody off but people need to be told what can happen at these Tribunals, although if anyone believes that they have a valid claim then they should definitely pursue it. Keep up all of your excellent work. Regards.
