First assesment was created by Sukiwarror
Hello,

First time here. I have my first ever assesment next week I have asked for it to be recorded and was told if I did not receive anything in post by tomorrow I should call and was given a number as it may have to be delayed which I hope happens. As it is my first I am aware that I could cancel if unable to make but you can only do it once. Does anyone know how long before a new one would e made? Is it weeks or months. I am in Reading area.

I would expect it to be a similar period to the one between submitting your ESA50 and your current appointment, maybe a bit quicker. I am afraid there are no statistics for ATOS waiting times.

Thank you Gordon.

I have just found your 2 replies to my earlier posts. As far as I can remember I sent my form in December so nearly 3 and half months ago. So I would be happy if it was as long again a nice breathing space

When i go for my assessment do we have to fill in the answers to 2 questionaires that are exactly the same as you have on line.
LTD capability for work assessment and
LTD capability for work related activity assesment.

in the mental questions I would answer 16a 15points
15c 6 points, 14a 15 points, and 13 a 15 points.

Would this give me enough to get into the support group if she is convinced.
My ex sister in law who is a qualified and working psychotherapist is coming with me.

What happened to me last year was like a car crash and I am terribly vulnerable and no way would i be able to cope with working. I do not leave home unless her or another friend comes with me. She lives close by and take me shopping on Saturdays.

You do not fill in any questionaires at the face-to-face assessment. The Healthcare Professional (HCP) will use a computer program to guide the questions and to record their interpretation of the answers and this will determine the scores for each descriptor. Most people find that they are not given the scores that they expect!

Just to let you know that there is no need to submit another post, even if yours does not appear straight away. All posts on this site are read by a moderator before they appear in public view. How long this process takes depends entirely on how many (voluntary) moderators are online and how busy we are :)

Hi Sw,

Just to add to MHB's good advice, The LCW and LCWRA assessments are done during the one assessment. They are not separate tests.

To qualify for the SG, you must fulfill any one of The SG Descriptors :

SG (LCWRA) Descriptors

Or you could also qualify under The Exceptional Circumstances Rules, ESA Reg 35 : ESA Reg 35 for entry to The SG (LCWRA)

All this is explained in our : ESA Claims Guides
