The pension has to have been paid since 2001, anything after that date will have the normal IB and ESA rules applied to it; an £85/w disregard followed by £1 deduction for every £2 in excess.

I believe it is after deductions, however, with any question of this type, you should get face to face advice in order to get an accurate understanding of your situation.
