Should I have received this in writing from DWP?
Thanks,
Have you had your reconsideration yet? This is, indeed, the part of the procedure that is in the hands of DWP (I waited 6 months for my recon). Once the appeal has been passed to the Tribunal service, DWP will have no further control over the timing.

I don't know whether DWP are obliged to advise this in writing as there has actually been no new decision made. I am sure that one of the other mods will be able to clarify that point for us.

The DWP have one month to submit your papers to the Tribunal Service from the date of the Reconsideration being completed, although it would normally take less than this.Yes was told over the phone 2wks ago that it had been reconsidered but unfortunately was going to full appeal.

Do i need to have this reconsideration in writing from DWP, or will the phone call I had a few weeks ago be enough.
Regards.

The DWP will submit an evidence pack to the Tribunal Service, which you will receive a copy of, the covering letter should give notice of the Reconsideration decision.thanks Gordon.

I am aware of someone who appealed in May (they failed the IB to ESA) and they have not heard a thing since, except getting the fortnightly ESA payments of £142. They are wondering if this is 'normal' (if there is such a thing!). Should they have heard about the reconsideration or acknowledgement of the GL24 by now or how long is a piece of string! Or maybe the next thing they will hear is about the appeal (whenever that will be!)?
