I have just received my renewal for my ESA. At the moment I am in the work group. I did not oppose this even though I needed the support group. My condition has gone worse over the 2 years. Having been on ESA is there less chance of me staying on ESA or even getting in the support group. In addition, should I ask my Doctor for a report to try to help me? Thanks Col
As you initially accepted being in the WRAG as opposed to the support group, this will no longer be of any significance.
There should be no less chance of you remaining on ESA, as it is determined by your capability for work and not the length of time that you have been receiving the allowance. In fact, if your health condition has deteriorated over the last two years as you have mentioned, this may be all the more reason to placed in the support group?
Any supporting evidence which can be obtained from any healthcare professional involved in your care, will invariably be helpful to support your claim.
