Income Support is paid for a number of reasons, it is only if your husband is receiving IS because of ill-health that it becomes relevant to being transferred.

If both IB and IS are relevant then I would guess that a transfer date would be based on his IB, if only because they will be producing lists of IB claimants to transfer and then looking at who is left.

Gordon, I understand what your saying, the IS he gets includes Severe DP and Enhanced DP for both of us. (As a couple)

Originally we both just received IB contrib in our own rights.

Then after we were both awarded HRC DLA, and some fighting, we were awarded the Disability Premiums, paid to hubby along with his IB.

He did querie at the time as to why his contrib IB was now being paid along with IS Disability Premiums, they just said that was the way they did things.

Does this throw any more light on it.

Thanks

I can see why he is receiving the IS, as to when he will be transferred, beyond what I've already suggested, it's anybodies guess.

I know we keep saying it, but the only sure way people will know when they are going to be transferred is when the letter arrives :(

Gordon ,

Thanks understand wahat you say, it's part of their game isn't it.

I suppose worse scenario is 2 x ESA50's dropping through the letterbox together.
One for me and one for hubby, we always did like to share!

We'll stick to "Plan A" then "Prepare for the worse, and hope for the best".

That is early transition.

Cheers

This document states fairly clearly that people claiming SDA will be transfered last:-

The Employment and Support Allowance (Transitional Provisions) (Existing Awards) Regulations 2010
