How Else To Contact DWP? was created by RachelPotter
Hi, sorry to be a pain but I plucked up the courage to ring about my back payment and am now a wreck!
The woman I got today was sighing a lot and getting irritated because I didn't understand what she was saying to me.
I can't cope with phoning them again. Should I just forget about the money I'm owed or is there another way of recovering it?
Thankyou.
Best wishes,
Rachel

Have you tried asking your MP for help? When I went to mine about a problem with the DWP, he got a response from a team that seems to deal specifically with MPs.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Rachel
Is there anybody who could speak on your behalf?
You would need to make the initial call, answer the security questions, and confirm that it is OK for them to speak to this person.
You would need to brief them about what to ask, but it would get you out of having to do the bulk of the call.

Please do do like Gordon suggests, Rachel, I'd hate to see you losing out on your money, especially as you've given so much help here to others so that they can get their money.
