DLA Award Types? was created by RachelPotter
Hi, I have a friend who is in her early 50's and she has been getting DLA for a few years.
It was recently given again. Would it have been given for life?
What types of award for DLA are there?
Best wishes,
Rachel

I dont think there is any set rule for awards they look at what the needs are and award based on that. If you look at the a to z of medical problems there is some guide lines on award times

Thanks Dave, thanks Gordon!
It poses a bit of a moral dilemma for me. My friend said 'it's forever'.
Also, she says she will not loose her ESA as she is on DLA for life.
Not sure if I want to tackle it with her.
Hm, sorry, I am musing in text!
Perhaps I will leave it and help her out with this websites support when anything crops up!
Thankyou for your help,
Rachel
