Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Graeme,
We had to suspend the PM facility due to technical problems relating to the interaction of the forum software with the membership software.
At the moment there is no likelihood of it being reintroduced.

Thank you for the prompt reply but i'm quite astounded re the technical problems not being able to be resolved. If that is indeed the case then please kindly delete my membership.
I was always led to believe that a forum was a means of communicating to other members both openly or privately, obviously email and pm's would cover the latter. Some members might clearly appreciate kind words of support from other members privately, to deny them this facility is I feel unacceptable

Hi Graeme62
You need to email Steve at

for a refund.
The subscription is for the guides and resources; the forum is provided as a courtesy and is not part of the subscription.
I should also point out that although many members find emotional support from within the forum, we are mainly about benefit advice and information, as opposed to a social networking site. That said, you are welcome to give the site a try before cancelling your membership.
Kind regards
Derek

Hi Graeme,
Believe me this isn't something we wanted, we preferred having a PM system, but the forum software won't allow it.
However, problems related to the forum, for example where members feel posts are inappropriate can be reported using the 'report to moderator'.function technical issues to tech@benefitsand work.co.uk, or
if your'e not happy with any aspects of the way the site is run, then to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
Benefits and Work prides itself on the online guides for members only written by the site owners, Steve a qualified WRO and trainer, and his wife Holi who is a qualified barrister.
The forums don't form part of the membership fee, but are provided as a courtesy to subscribing members.
I hope you will chose to remain a member, if not your subscription fee will be refunded to you by Steve.
Best wishes.
Pat
