Hi timthumb
You will find 2 guides for filling in an ESA50 in the members' area. One for physical health, and one for mental health.
The guides are very detailed and warn you of many pitfalls; most members find them extremely useful. I would suggest you read them or whichever guide is relevant, and if you feel you are able manage on your own or with help, have a go. I you feel too stressed or unable to get through what is a fairly lengthy process, you may be better off going to the CAB.
Even if you decide to use the CAB, I would still suggest that you read the part of the guide which tells you what information is required on the form, so you will have some idea of what information the CAB will need.
Best of luck with your claim

I would ask other friends who may have applied previously... I have some friends who I met through a support group for one of my conditions, which helped me a bit, as they had to appeal as well.

Hi timthumb
The guides on this site are brilliant & helped me to complete my form & get enough points to be awarded ESA. There are also lots of posts in the forum you can look up where members have recounted their experiences of claiming ESA.
Good luck.
