To all the moderators - can i help?

I found it very difficult at the medical talking about incontinence problems, but the nurse said she could not assess incontinence at the medical and ignored that fact that I have incontinence challenges every day on the urinary front and I got zero points for that too!

My main problem (of quite a number) for me is my interstitial cystitis, which leave me bathroom bound for whole days..... and in agony everyday (and awake most of the night everynight)...

I do have mobilility problems which are more severe now since medical, but they were there 6 months ago at medical, I have hip and hand problems too, plus terrible dizziness.....

I have to fill in more Limited Capacity for work forms once again.... even with problems with my hands..... !

Please get some help here!!! I found CAB very helpful or perhaps a welfare right worker. It the information that CAB gave me to score points for incontinence it only needs to happen at least once a week and i ended up scoring the maximum points for that after a fight. I did have quite a lengthy conversation with my GP about how the Crohn's affects my daily life and yes i felt awkward discussing personal issues but once she knew the whole truth she was very supportive and did a report confirming all this. It could be worth you speaking to your GP and be totally honest with them i was very upset discussing incontinence etc but my GP was fantastic!!! I hope this helps!!

Hi jullie, I was the same as you i was afraid of telling the truth about my bowel habits. Steve has done a case in the members section from last year i dont know if you have seen it CDLA/0217/2009. Claimant who can walk and run gets high rate mobility for incontinence. Its very interesting and shoul help members with continence problems. Best Wishes
