The WRAG and not the WRAC is the work-related activity group.

This is one of two groups to which you can be allocated after the assessment phase of ESA, following the work capability assessment (WCA). The other group is the support group (SG).

Thank you all for your good wishes, i am very grateful. The whole period of waiting was one of complete uncertainty, as i am only able to claim Contributory ESA, if I had lost it I would not have been able to claim it again, which may have affected our financial future. It is such a relief!

Yes the WRAC is the Work Related Activity Component which is the extra payment I will now receive on top of my ESA. The Support Component is higher, but not many claimants are successful in claiming this I think.

Thank you for explaining the term WRAC.

Not being an ESA claimant, the work-related activity component (WRAC) is a new term to me. It needs to be distinguished from the work-related activity group (WRAG), although both are similar in the context of ESA.

Both terms have accordingly been added to the "abbreviations" spotlights section.
