HOW MUCH LONGER !! INCAPACITY BENEFIT was created by Helen 47
Hi
Sorry if i keep asking the same old question but !- i still cannot beleive that i sent my IB50 FORM off in Oct 09 and have not still herd a thing from DWP .
I have been in touch with -Job centre plus on lots of occasions, and they just say that ATOS are very behind with there work , surely this must be a record .
Has anyone else had such a wait ?? .
I am still getting benefit money , so i should not worry! easier said than done .
If i am sucessful , do you think that i will get the benefit from when they started looking at the form or from Last yr ?? .
THANKYOU FOR ALL YOUR REPLY

Yes, there are extensive delays due to DWP staff job cuts, and staff being transferred to JobCentre Plus offices who deal with IB/ESA who have little or no experience in dealing with these benefits.

Hi,
I can assure you that it's not unusual, hard to believe isn't it but I filled my form in and returned it in May 2009 - since then I have had three medical appointments cancelled by atos and when I attended the last medical they had none of my details.
I have discovered that atos actually received my ib50 and then lost it so two weeks ago I had to fill in my second ib50. The stress has definitely made my health problems worse - I am just stating a fact not complaining because I know that I am not the only one in a very difficult situation, I wonder how long it will take this time - who knows I don't think anyone does, I am just like you wanting to know what's going on but too scared to make a fuss in case my benefit stops.Good luck.
