Idea for the forum was created by originaldave
Why can we not have a thread or type of thread where people without names or too many personal details answer 10 of the main questions on the DLA form 10 for care

people can then see what people are thinking of putting, how they are wording it and give there views on what they would put, because thats got there view and problem across in the past, like a working draft. of course it would take people sometime both to draft and for people to answer and some parts might get more answers than others

drafts could be done on word for example saved and worked on spell checked then copy and pasted to the forum.

this sort of advice is carried out on a couple of debt forums where people are happy to post they owe £30,000 plus spend £900 on rent or housing and pay £300 on credit cards ect ect advice back is like change shop take pack lunches shop at aldi ect ect

here people could say things like you need to give more detail on what you do each night when you get up to care for johnny !!

would it work ?

if people have ideas for the parts help most needed then a template could be posted and that copied to word to start people off ?

Hi Dave,

I understand what you're thinking, but I'm afraid that in an age of such intense suspicion of claimants it's not something we could support. The tabloids would leap on it as claimants exchanging tips on how best to improve your application to get benefits you're not entitled to.

As publishers we could even face accusations of conspiracy to commit fraud.

I know that's absolutely not what you are thinking of, but I'm afraid there's a world of difference between publishing a guide to claiming DLA with general principles and a sample answers and actually producing highly detailed answers and then getting other people to suggest how to improve them.

Though, of course, looking through a completed claim pack and suggesting ways in which additional/clearer information could be given is what advice agencies do every day of the week.

Whilst I realise exactly where you are coming from Steve, the lack of comment on the forum blogs makes me wonder if the tabloids are bothering to monitor this forum.
I would have thought at least one would have bitten by now.

Hi papasmurf,

I'm quite certain the tabloids don't monitor this site, they don't have the time or the interest. It's just that when they're doing a story on a related issue, like ESA, they'll do a bit of googling and may well happen across us.

If they do they'll spend a few minutes sniffing around to see if there's anything they can use. Unfortunately, the kind of thing Dave has in mind is exactly the sort of thing that, if they did happen across it, would make a nice bit of filler for an inside page.

We're not important, just an easy target.

I wish I had your confidence about that.
On another forum where I am always starting threads about ATOS, computerised "medicals", ESA, Work Capability Assessments, my threads are always being downloaded and or being printed out. (The forum has a monitoring system to check such things.)
When I have traced back just where my comments are going to, it is either somewhere deep inside government, or a tabloid newspaper.
Given I always used internet references back to governments own data they will have a problem suing me.

Forums are a good idea but what about the main newspaper forums that you get mainline newspapers most newspapers have them and its a brilliant way of getting every bodies message out to the mainstream.

I don,t mean posting the best possible ways of getting past the ESA Medical or private information but the total inhumanity aspect of what the system is how it was devised and what the true aims are.

If you ask a lot of people in the street about ESA and DLA and the changes to DLA and IB there are a lot of people that don't know about what has been happening.
So bringing this up in the news paper forums might just highlight what is really going on and just who is getting hurt by it all.

Just Troll google you will find lot's of mainline Newspaper forums there the more it is discussed the more people will know about it.
