DLA home medical was created by ada russell
Having had no correspondence from either the DWP or ATOS I was totally perplexed when I received a phone call from a doctor claiming to represent the DWP as an ATOS employee and had an appointment to carry out a medical and was sitting outside my house in his car, because he had been unable to get an answer. I told him there was no vehicles parked outside my house and he asked if I lived at No. 20 and I said no No. 12. After much hesitation his stern attitude changed into one of apology and admitted private and confidential information had been sent to the wrong address. He said he would refer the matter back to the office and finished the call. Can anybody suggest what action I should take?

You have every right to be outraged.

I would write to the DWP immediately outlining what has happened and demanding an explanation and at the same time copy the letter to your local MP.

Moderators are a bit thin on the ground at the moment I am sure one will comment anon. Meanwhile give them hell in writing.

If I were you, I would definately make a formal complaint. Sending your confidential, private details to the wrong address is incompetent beyond belief. But I guess it isn't the first time or last it will happen.
