Pip renewal as a pensioner - do I need to be working? was created by Jane52
Awarded Pip, whilst working, for ten years. Award says "it is inappropriate to fix a term" on both mobility and daily living. Pip will be reviewed next year - 2027. Do I still need to be working when Pip reviewed to get the light touch review? If I retire completely will that be seen as a change of circumstances. Reached state pension age September 2025.
Thank you for clarification re above

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Jane52
No, you still don't have to be working. You reached State Pension Age last year, and it's your health that they will be interested in - not your work. There are only 3 questions on the light-touch review form. If you add anything- which I would advise you to- concentrate on your medical condition and ongoing difficulties. The change of circumstances refers to an improvement in your health not your working status

Thank you for clarifiction that I do not need to be working still on review. Have lots of medical evidence. Other question was I received standard daily living for ten years and enhanced mobility for ten years, both saying "it is inappropriate to fix a term". Do a need "enhanced" on both daily living and mobility to qualify for light touch review
Thank you

Hi Jane62
Because you have passed state pension age, it's your age that will get you the light touch review - not the award.

Thank you Bis
Was not aware of that. That is a relief. Will focus on organising my medical evidence of which I have plenty
