I'm somewhat concerned about the new rules and how they apply from 6th April for ongoing awards. From online I'm seeing that you have to prove that your illness/disability has to be constant (without any fluctuation) to be valid for LCWRA and Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy and even Parkinsons will be assessed. Can anyine shed any light of this new change and how it will actually affect people. I have Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy 2L and am on an ongoing award for UC LCWRA and PIP light touch 2030. It just seems like the government are finding any way to claw back from people who really need the support.
If you made a valid application for LCWRA prior to 6 April then you will be assessed under the old rules. As far as other forum members are concerned I would signpost them to the advice given on the new LCWRA element in this Benefitsandwork news item :- www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/news/new-regul...-of-universal-credit
