ESA Migration so confused

ESA Migration so confused was created by Anne marie
Hi
My migration date is 6th December and iv been so worried I will loose all of my money, due to partners earnings I dont qualify for UC confirmed by UC & Citizen advice. I was told today by DWP I am receiving contribution ESA and some IR ESA, the person at DWP thinks I'll continue to receive New style ESA he said I don't need to do the migration my payment will continue under New style ESA but less as I'll loose the IR part. Today i spoke to almost every DWP department and nobody seamed to 100% know the awnser. I'm in support group and higher rate PIP. Is this guy correct I can just not do the migration and automatically receive the new style ESA it sounds to good to be correct. Thank you so much for any advice

I am slightly confused by your post as you stated that you get both IR ESA and CB ESA. IR ESA is means tested whereas CB ESA is not. I can only think you received EDP (£21.20) under IR ESA as you were in the support group of ESA. There are no disability premiums with UC.
DWP are correct, you should not lose all your income, CB ESA support will stay in payment, PIP will also stay in payment. I believe you will only lose £21.20 pw, if you did not apply for UC.
