Finally had letter about migrating to UC - no idea where to start.

Letter states I must claim by 22nd July. I've read posts on other forums about the best time to apply, taking into consideration when your current ESA gets paid, and it all seemed so complicated. But now I need to know the best time - and don't have a clue. I have so many questions; will I lose money?

Can anyone tell me how to work out the best time to apply, please?

Thank you

Hi Happypants

I think to get personalised advice on this subject you would be advised to phone the Citizens Advice Help to Claim service. Their phone number is on page 2 of your Managed Migration letter. Here are a couple of recommendations--

Thank you, David, have spoken to the CAB now and they were very helpful and empathic. Wasn't easy to get through but when I did it was worth it.

Hi,

I'm in the same position. My deadline is 11th July. Did CAB do a benefits calculation to see if you would be worse off please? Also did they complete the form for you there and then over the phone?

Thanks in advance.
