Consultation Report Lies

Consultation Report Lies was created by encrypto
As advised by all the guidance, I had my claim unfairly rejected, the case worker then sent me a copy of the consultantion report.

In the opening paragraph there is an absolute made up lie, stating that I walk to my local park about 500 metres awary, every day in 10 minutes then walk straight back in a similar time.

Basically all of those "facts" are just complete lies and was not even close to what I told them at my appointment.

I wanted to raise this for awareness because my report goes on with lie after lie, and leaves out all of the pertinent details that I provided the consultant around my struggles and affects to my daily activities.

I suspect that it isn't normally part of the process for claimants to see this report, so I wanted to make everyone else aware of why they may suddenly get a score of 0 on their initial review.

Also, if anyone has any advice for me on this, I would appreciate your thoughts.

Mainly I'm wondering, will it help my Mandatory review (and potential subsequent review) by addressing the discrepancies in the report now?

I appreciate the guidance for the appeals process but with my ADHD these 3 long documents are feeling very overwhelming to even start reading.

Thanks

Hi encrypto

I'm sorry that you find yourself in this position.

You haven't said - but did you ask for the assessment to be recorded or did you make a recording yourself? If the answer is no - that's something we always try and advise people to do because it's the easiest way to prove what a claimant said. I know you said people don't often see the report - but actually, many of our members do request a copy. The amount that is written varies from one person's report to the next.

You should discuss the discrepancies in your Mandatory Reconsideration. Please don't call the assessor a 'liar' (however tempting or deserved it is!) Use language such as the assessor was "mistaken", "misunderstood", "omitted", contradicted" "forgot" etc. Stay focussed on the areas where the points are scored. You can mention other things, but if they won't make a difference to the points that you score don't waste a lot of time on it. The emphasis is getting them to overturn the points you have currently been awarded.
