PIP Review - New AR1 Form? was created by ka
I’ve recently received an AR1 form and it is substantially different from the last one of these which only had 3 boxes for each activity. This time it more closely resembles the new claim form, i.e. goes through each activity and do you need help with it and what that looks like. Just wanted to flag this up as the guides seem to reflect the previous AR1 form, and I don’t know if this requires a substantially different approach as it isn’t asking what has changed and when.

My partners award wasn’t due to be reviewed until July 2025. The brown envelope dropped a couple of weeks ago. The form he has had is the same as the one he filled in two years ago at his previous review. The same 24 pages with 4 sections, section 3 with 13 questions with three lines to answer each question. It doesn’t mention the AR1 code anywhere, which I can assume is shirt for Award Review 1.

Just wondering if there is any update on this. My husband has received his first AR1 which has to be submitted by Christmas Day. I plan on posted it fully tracked by Wednesday but I am totally confused if they need the same information plus any changes. Any quides online including the one on here is completely different to this form. Under each 12 activities is asks can you management this activity safely and without any difficult, what aids do you use and how often, do you need prompting and what do they do and how often, do you need help from another person, what help do you need and how often and it says to tell them why and when these needs began.
There doesn't seem to be reference to only the changes since the last time and there is very limited space to write anything. I was just going to look through his last application and write the same thing and add what has changed but I just don't know what section under each activity it is relevant under.

Hi, just wondering if there has been an update on the guide for the new AR1 review form. I got one for my husband to complete. This is the first time completing a review so I am a little anxious to the style of questions and the lack of space to answer. I am not sure to just go ahead an write what I did before with adding changes if there is any. It's just the way they word them that is throwing me off.
Thanks
Thanks

Hi Sinbad77
Treat the form as though it was a new claims form and add extra pages, make sure you number each extra page and add your name and NI number to each page. If you have completed a review form before then use that as your guide and make ant relevant changes as necessary.
