PIP Review was created by dawsden
Hi
I wonder if you could please offer any advice on my latest update from DWP, which I have just received.
My award of PIP officially finished in 2022. After returning the review form, all I've had is a txt message from Independant Assessment Services saying that they are dealing with my review.
Then today I received a txt from DWP saying that the Health Professional has sent them their report and I will hear from them in due course.
I'm confused, as I've had no contact from IAS, either by letter, or by phone/text. I have had no assessment?
I am 65 years old and due to officially retire in March 2025. I am on enhanced rate for both mobility and care
Is this normal? Has this happened to anyone else? I'd really value any input.
Thank you in advance
Kind regards
D

Hi Dawsden

It means that IAS decided to do a paper-based assessment without speaking to you. This does sometimes happen. You could call the DWP and ask for a copy of the report - (PA5) - but we have found in the last year that the DWP has told claimants that no report has been written and only notes have been made. It's up to you - you can ring and see if there is a report or wait for you decision letter.
