I am sending back my pip renewal. I would like to send it back by registered post. They have only provided a second class envelope. Can I send it in a different envelope with the correct address on it by registered post pls thanks

Hi harmony1,
You can use a different envelope, or alternatively delete the second class post bit eg with a blank label over it.
Either way should work.
Good luck with the claim. LL26

Ps I have deleted 2 further posts which were exact duplicates of this post.

Hi harmony1, You may find that if your papers will fit in their envelope, you can take it to the post office in that and they will actually credit you for the prepaid postage on it and only charge you the difference, the extra, for the recorded delivery. they will stick the label they print over the pre-printed bit. I've managed this once after reading about it on here a long while ago. But not all post offices know they can do this.
