What happens when you start a new PIP claim ? was created by nvbell

We are about to start a new claim for PIP, which will be our first time.

Can somebody please outline what happens when we phone the PIP claim line ?

Does the PIP staffer take all your details by working through the PIP 1 document ?

Then you chose to have a PIP 2 claim form sent to you in the post ?

Just trying to mentally prepare in advance of the big phone call.

Hi Nvbell

Look at the Guide to PIP Claims and Reviews - you will find the information on pages 12 and 13. That will tell you exactly what to expect and your options. Don't worry if you can't remember anything on that call - plenty of people can't, and it won't stop them from sending you out the PIP2 if you want it.
