Hi Via,

"So if and when I get a migration notice I can ask citizens advice to support me? Anyone can in such a situation?"

Yes, that is currently the situation. It is Citizens Advice Help to Claim. However that arrangement was created under the last government so I will keep a watch for any changes.
Also the most important thing is to read the Migration letter carefully and take advice if in doubt.

Are many of us worrying unnecessarily? I know many of us have anxiety issues but..

Is it correct that if you were in support group of ESA you will be placed in equivalent group in UC when migrated?

Is it possible the transition won't be a mess for everyone?

...are many of us tying ourselves up in knots unnecessarily?

Hi Winlars,

It is understandable that you and many others are anxious about the compulsory Migration to Universal Credit.
However of the millions of UC claims that the DWP deal with only a small percentage are erroneous.

As for your question- "Is it correct that if you were in support group of ESA you will be placed in equivalent group in UC when migrated?" Yes that is correct and you will be paid the additional LCWRA element.
