PIP review extended, rules? was created by Csm
Just had a letter from the DWP telling us that the review from last year is not completed so the award will be extended another year but maybe further if they still haven't completed the review.
As the original award has already been extended and to end soon, our question is this.
If the review goes several months into the 'New' extended period and it comes back rejected, will any benefit paid in the new extended period have to be paid back or is it just stopped from that point whilst a mandatory reconsideration is carried out?

Good news Csm,
You will keep any benefit paid during the new extended period, regardless of the outcome of their review assessment. Unfortunately, as you say, if the assessment stops or reduces your award the payment will then stop or be adjusted downwards. You can then start down the MR route, with the possibility of a back-payment if the decision is reversed.

Thanks, as a now veteran at attending Tribunal's, winning all 5 thanks to B&W !.
To be honest, i don't know why we have to keep challenging decisions with all the medical evidence we have , from full daily living and mobility to nothing! then back up again.
