Hello, thank you for all you do to help so grateful.
Can you please advise if you are on new style ESA contribution based and following phone assessment and dwp then putting you into the support group what happens re contribution based as only for one year. Does that stop where it is part way through that year and become indefinite at the higher rate or do you have to wait for the year to be up before it becomes indefinite. Hope that makes sense.

If this was a new claim and you have been awarded the Support Group then the clock is reset to zero and will not increment while you remain in the SG, so the award becomes an indefinite one although you will be reassessed at some time in the future. If you are removed from the SG then the clock will start and you will still have the full 365 days.
If this is a review and you were not in the SG at the time, then the clock will stop and this will become an indefinite award, the time you spent outside the SG will remain on file and will restart from that point if you are ever removed from the SG.
