Does anyone think that with contributions based ESA and PIP iff the DWP can look into your bank account and decide you have enough savings they will refuse PIP and ESA on review or first time applying but put it down to another reason why you havnt got it , so basically they can look and say , oh they have plenty in the bank just refuse it

Hi Pauls1,

I am not sure about Employment Support Allowance, but online it says - "Is ESA means-tested? The new style ESA is not means-tested. You can claim new style ESA and Universal Credit at the same time – but if you do, your Universal Credit amount will be reduced by the amount of ESA you get"
PIP isn't means tested - Personal Independence Payment (PIP) is extra money to help you with everyday life if you've an illness, disability or mental health condition. You can get it on top of Employment and Support Allowance or other benefits. Your income, savings, and whether you're working or not don't affect your eligibility.

Regards, Chris.
