I'd have sent it anyway despite them saying not to. If it goes to a tribunal , any meaningful medical information underwritten by a qualified Dr could be seen as 'reasonable evidence' particularly, if a claimant has a complex condition that in all likelihood, DWP etc will not have qualified person to correctly asses that.
