Impact of Pension on Benefits was created by bb1
Hello,
I am looking for some advice regarding state pension and ESA and PIP.
My husband is in receipt of both of these benefits and is 65 later in the year.
We are wondering if he loses both of these benefits when he gets his pension.
Would we be able to claim attendance allowance.
Thank you

His ESA will stop as soon as he received his State Pension, the PIP will continue as long as he continues to meet the criteria for an award, but be aware that he cannot receive a Mobility award past the age of 65 if he does not already have one and any award cannot be increased, even if he meets the criteria for a higher one.

Found this post very interesting as I am in process of changing from DLA to pip and will be 65 next year , this rule is very unfair regarding not being able to increase mobility comp after 65 surely this ageism ?.

It's the same as DLA so if it is ageism then it has been going on for some time.
