DLA to PIP- Tribunal Success was created by AlexBloomsbury
Zero Points at Assessment, Enhanced on both at Tribunals!. Huge, huge thanks to B+W, could not have done it without you.

Couldn't get a representative but lovely "hand holders" from PSU were great and did help.

Still in shock and think it will take days to sink in but aware that DWP could still argue but, for now, after a whole year's increasing dread and fear, just thrilled.

Many congratulations on the award, well done.

It usually takes the DWP 5-8 weeks to process a Tribunal result.

I would give them a call to make sure that they have received the Decision Notice.

3 weeks and many tel calls later, I've been told that the Tribunal decision won't be appealed!
Great, but there are problems in the system, letter not recorded on system so breakdown of cash to be received is not available.
I wasn't sure about the "Severe Disability" element - which I lost when PIP was refused - so tel the DWP but am still not sure what is/should be happening.

It seems crazy that I have to tell one part of the DWP what another part has decided/is doing.

Apparently when I receive the "Decision Letter", I should tel for/complete the IS10 Application Form and, if appropriate, I'll then get the Premium - she spoke as though this would be a wholly new application/benefit not just a reinstatement of the one I'd had before the PIP refusal.
However, what she couldn't tell me whether this would also be backdated. I never knew I'd lose the Severe Disability Element with PIP so might I also "lose" the cash I should have had for the last 6 months?

If they don't have the Decision Notice then you could send them a copy of yours, it might speed things up.

The PIP and ESA departments are literally different parts of the DWP!

So your appeal was in regard to PIP, so once this has gone back into payment you need to contact the office dealing with your ESA claim. You should be able to complete the IS10 on the phone, I would remind them that it should be backdated to when you lost your PIP award.
