If you receive Income Related ESA in part or in whole then the payment will be treated as savings once you receive it. If you are still under the £6000 limit then no problem but if it takes you over it then you need to contact the DWP as they will make a deduction from your ESA. See
Asset rule for ESA(IR) If you only receive Contribution Based ESA it will have no effect.
