i have tried to acess the medical assessment download , but it says i have to subscribe? i have 200 odd days left ?

Did it say you had to subscribe when you tried to log in or when you tried to access the guide? I had similar but found I'd been logged out without realising. I just had to log back in and then I was able to view the guide.

Can you access the PIP guide from this link? There is a section that explains what to expect at the face2face.

Hi

mrs Hb . thank you .

all done and dusted , not long back, i will write here my thoughts.
firstly , the building was very grim, basic , no parking nearby , certainly free no disabled parking.
inside , a young girl had her support worker and carer with her , she was told only one could go in with her. receptionist said " i mean where do you draw the line" felt for the young girl , as she had a mini dilema to deal with and she had just stepped in the door!

Me , I went alone, i had an appt letter for a intmate scan next week as have a female issue ongoing, noted the young girls assessor was a man, and I asked if my assesor was a man. Yep , " only men work here, you should have asked if its a problem" ...i said no problem , just want to get it over with.

Turn out he was ok, begann explaining the process, asked if i knew the process , and he was taken a back when i said this is my THIRD atos assessment in 18 months.

hmmm, onwards and forward, he stuck to the computer questions...asked about when i was dx, how it came about , how long i had it etc etc..

then he went onto personal care , making statements like " so how do you get on with the cooking pans?" " do you drive a manual car ?" and basically it being asked me to repeat what is on the form.

got to toilet needs , i know i had ticked no, so i said no help needed, he kept prompting me to say what difficulties i was having, i said nope , nope! move on! . lol . Poor bloke , he must have felt he was interviewing his mother!

he asked about home life , ( well documented I am a carer) I explained what i used to do , work wise, my caring at home , how long i had been doing it , he even asked what i got my degree in..(??)

and so it went on ....same old ...he asked why i was on my own, i explained all my friends work, and most of my family are dead and my husband , just stresses me out , although he is the only one i ask for help from indoors.

he asked for more details about mental health , i owned up and said it was a major part of my life now, in the past i would recover quite well. but not so now, I now accept mental health illness is here to stay, and i it accept now , i need help, but i dont get it. i do however engage with " specialist input ".

then he asked about mobility, he was interested in how long ( time) 3 4 5 mins? 10 mins?
i would walk before I experienced pain?? he said he was only interested in the time not distance . ?

i explained , it is painful from the onset . I also said if i was in bad flare , i wouldn't walk . full stop.

he then done a lift your knee , turn your head , and all that malarkey ...lift your arm ..etc etc..

I then asked what qualification he had , seeing he asked what my degree was in..he was an Occupational Therapist ..he said he didn't know IBS was a symptom of Fibromyalgia, in fact he said , he didn't really know much about FM at all , just that it was painful.

so that's that. 1 hour . shattered. its all politics .. i have been nothing but honest, i am a strong minded person , i have plodded on for years, without help, but now accept i need the help with lots of different things , but dont get it.

thank you for your help. fingers crossed.

PIP f2f wednesday .
got text from DWP today , "we;ve now got al the info we need to decide your PIP claim . We will send you a decision letter once we've made our decision. "

so i rang GP secretary today , asked if ATOS has requested a medical report to be completed recently ? Nope, last one for PIP was 2014. one for ESA 2014.
therefore , ATOS have not contacted GP this time.
There , is a significant change in circs. i enclosed 12 documents of the yo yo ing i have had the last 2 years , and the final conclusion , chest pain not my heart, its another symtoms of FMS .

I rang DWP today , I asked for a copy of the medical assessment that took place on wednesday.

how long after text? im preparing for another knock back.

will keep you posted.
