Hi to everyone

I just wanted to update you all and thank all the mods on here for their dedication and help and of course to the fantastic guides, without which i am sure i would have had a nervous breakdown by now.

My journey started in june with the arrival of my invitation letter. A damaged form and a lost form later, my form was returned to the dwp in September. After a stressful time of being told i had to attend a face to face 50 miles away and with the support of my gp and help from my mp, i attended a local centre on the 7th march.

My assessment went well and i was very lucky to have a very understanding nurse who listened and didnt ask me any silly questions, just what i would expect to be asked; my conditions, my meds, how they effected my daily living, etc. No questions of how many friends i had, if i used social media or anything to undermine my application. I have to say, he was brilliant and i am so lucky to have seen a nice assessor.

I asked for a copy of the report which i received last week. The report was true to how the assessment went and no inaccuracies.

I received the decision today, the same rates as i was on, not to be reveiwed until 6th march 2026!!!!

I cant believe after 10 months of stress it's over, for now and perhaps i can think of other things rather than PIP and my family can be less stressed!

I would like to again thank everyone involved with this site, the endless information and knowledge is priceless and has been more helpful than i can ever explain.

Best wishes to you all and i hope that people gping through this are as lucky as me to have a compassionate assessor.

Many thanks

B xx. :) :)

Thank you bro and Mrs H, it really has been a hard time, but i believe in knowledge is power, so i highly recommend this site, it is so much better to know what to expect and what information they are actually wanting to know!!

I take a peak on here everyday, but may have a break for a bit, so i would like to send you my best wishes Mrs Hurtyback for your journey too! I will keep an eye for if you post how it goes.

I may sleep a little easier tonight :woohoo:

That's very kind, thank you. I should have had my PIP f2f today but it was cancelled with just an hour to go. At least I have another 2.5 years left on my DLA award so I have plenty of time to spare!

You could be right to take a break from the forum, it will be difficult for you to 'switch off' and relax if you are constantly reading other peoples' stories.

Sweet dreams :)

That's very annoying for it to be cancelled at last minute, they have no idea the stress it causes!!

I hope you are able to relax over the easter and that all goes well for you, thank you once again :)
