Have I got this about right ? was created by Noodles
Just started reading the members only guides info regarding the changeover fom DLA to PIP and I'm a little bit confused again.

Is this correct :

The DWP first write you and invite you to claim PIP via telephone call. You have around 28 days to do this. We then receive the said PIP1 form and have to sign it and return it back to the DWP. A.S.A.P yes ? Then,we receive our PIP 2 " How you disibility effects you" form to get it back to the DWP and have HOW MANY days to return it please ???

Just cannot get with it today sorry..

There have been some changes to the procedure.

You will receive a letter from the DWP inviting you to claim PIP.

You will have four weeks to start a claim by contacting the PIP claim line, there will be a specific date when this needs to be done by in the letter, this can be done over the phone or in writing to request a PIP1 be sent to you, we recommend doing it over the phone if at all possible.

If you complete the form over the phone then current DWP procedure is not to send the PIP1 to the claimant for signature.

Once the DWP have a completed PIP1 form they will create a claim for PIP on their computer system and send out a PIP2 form.

You will have four weeks to complete the PIP2 form from the date on the accompanying letter, again there will be a specific date included on the letter with the PIP2 form, detailing when the form has to be returned by.
