I feel so angry that this claim process causes such terrible stress for people. I had managed to 'come off' medication for anxiety and use other techniques but I have been forced to use medication once again. The whole process has made me feel less of a person, more of a liability to society that needs to be curbed!
Sorry for ranting on. I'll let you know what happens when I finally have the assessment.
Thank you for all your help.

One question, is the HP likely to ask my husband any questions.
I'll let you know how I get on.

swibley wrote: Thank you for your reply. I have decided not to ask for a change of venue, I just want this ordeal to be over. I am beside myself with worry about tomorrow's assessment and have been given new medication to help me cope with the anxiety of the journey and assessment. My husband made a special trip to the clinic so that there would be no trouble finding it and although this is helpful I was appalled when he told me that it took 1 hour 20 minutes to get there and that was at a quiet time of the day.

Hi s,
It is of course up to you on whether or not you choose to travel to this venue !
However, it is stated that travelling time to or from the venue should not exceed 90 minutes either way, using Public Transport.
Have a read through the following posts : Here and Here
Most of the questions will be put to you, although your husband should be allowed some input !

I still felt very anxious when I arrived at the centre but not as much as I would have done without the forward planning.
I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised by the way the f2f was conducted. I saw no signs of any camera inside or outside the building. The HP was polite and very helpful and at no time was I hurried through the process. She decided that I didn't need to try to walk and so the medical part was cut short.
I was dreading this day especially after reading posts from people who have had a bad time. I know that I might not have the result that I am hoping for but even if this happens I cannot complain about the way the f2f was conducted. I thought I'd pass my story on so that other people might know that it can be an okay experience.
I'll let you know the result, in the meantime thank you to all the Mods and the site guides for all your help.
