Hi all, am about to go through this! Have couple of questions regarding process and know will get the answers here.
Once call made applying to PIP phone line, understand then receive PIP2 that has to be sent back within 4 weeks-currently on Indefinite DLA. Will DLA still be in payment until a decision is made on PIP, as long as forms completed and returned in time?
Also, have heard DWP will ask if they want to let them use information held on file from previous DLA application/award towards my PIP application, and I should refuse this (I will be sending all previous information from past DLA applications/awards & be included in my PIP application anyway). Is this correct?
Providing you meet all of the deadlines, your DLA will remain in payment until four weeks after a Decision on your PIP claim is made.
You have the option of including evidence from your previous DLA claims as part of the assessment, our advice is most certainly not that you should not do this!
You need to decide whether including this information is to your advantage or not,
Gordon
