Hi all,

After waiting over an hour in a phone queue I finally managed to get through to the advisor and applied for the PIP.

During the registration process both of us could barely hear each other due to some signal issues on the mobile. I was guessing and answered the questions to the best of my knowledge. I am a bit worried what would happen if some of the information recorded in the system were not entirely correct? Could I rectify them on the PIP form?

Moreover, because I did not expect that they would want to have the details of all the health professionals who know me over the phone, I only gave out the GP's contact information (my mistake!).

I have gave them my consent ("forced" to) to get in touch with all the health professionals & other relevant organisations, however I do not actually see my GP a lot and am afraid that he properly is not the best person to support my case.

I went to see the GPs a lot in the earlier years of my illness however after sometimes they started to "complain" a bit and saying something like they already saw me before for the same problem blah blah. So over the last 4,5 years I normally just went to see my consultants in the hospitals and went to saw the GPs only when I have to.

Overall I was just wondering how could I add more health professionals onto my case? Do I need to ring them up again? Or shall I just wait for the forms to turn up and try to write on there?

I am very sorry for being a pain however I really was not expected to provide so much information over the phone, I thought I only needed to tell them my intention and then supplied the information they required afterwards on the forms.  :( :(

Also, if possible, could anyone please tell me roughly how soon I would be able to see their health professional and how long it would take to have a decision back on my case?

Thank you very much in advance for all your input!

The next stage of your claim is for you to receive a PIP2, How Your Disability Effects You form, this includes a section for you to detail the medical professionals that support you.

You will have four weeks to complete and return the form.

Assessments are being booked within a couple of weeks from the PIP2 being returned and Decisions were taking a further couple of weeks, however, we have had a number of members report delays in this which may be due to staff being on holiday.
