Hi C,
Welcome to Benefits and Work
If you were
under 65 years of age on 08/04/13, you will be invited to transfer over to PIP sometime over the coming 2-3 years period.
If you live in one of the Postcodes mentioned in :
This News Article, you will be one of the first to be transferred over sometime after July 13th 2015.
Even though this is called an "invite" you will not have any choice in the matter other than to not take up the invite, in which case your DLA will cease.
If you have reached 65 after the 08/04/13, you will still be invited to claim PIP.
If you were
65 years of age or over on 08/04/13, you will continue to receive DLA as long as you continue to fulfil the qualifying criteria that gave you the DLA award, and as things currently stand you will not be invited to claim PIP.
See :
Timetable for PIP replacing DLA. &
PIP Claims Guide. (2nd Link on page) Please reply to this post if you have any further queries.
