HI, i already receive ESA contribution rate and am in the support group regarding mental health illness.
Ive just gotten a mental health support worker, and she said i should apply for PIP. Ive been reading all your info re PIP, but i have a question regarding one of the mobility component questions.
There are varies questions asking how far i can walk, for example 50 meters but no more than 200 meters/
Now, if my mental health is poor i cant even get out of bed. so how do i answer the question of how far i can walk?
Is this a question regarding physically being able to walk 50 - 200 meters, which i can do, but mentally if i cant get out of bed i cant walk it at all.
There are two questions related to PIP Mobility, Going Out and Moving Around
The Moving Around question, that you refer to in your post, is primarily concerned with your ability to physically walk, I would not expect you to score points for mental health issues that prevent you from walking.
The Going Out question is primarily concerned with mental health or cognitive issues that would limit your ability to plan a route or to follow one.
Have a look at page 53 of the current PIP guide for more information.
