Hi I was wondering if anyone can help me with this. I have been transferred over to the support group for 18 months. My husband and I have separated but still live in the same house but lead separate lives. I am on contribution based esa will I be able to get atop up from income related esa? Before I was moved over to the support group I was receiving income related which helped with my mortgage repayments. I receive carers allowance for my son which is deducted from my contribution based esa. I seem worst off since I have been moved over. THe dwp are aware of the living arrangements as I have stated this on the phone to them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated Thank you
Being in the Support Group should enable payment of the Enhanced Disability Premium which in turn should lead to an ESA(IR) top-up, however, I'm not sure I understand why your previous entitlement to ESA(IR) would have ceased because you were moved into the Support Group.
You need to contact the DWP for an ESA3 form which will capture your current financial situation so they can decide whether you are entitled to ESA(IR).
