As far as I know, though our postcode has gone live, indefinite awards arent due to begin processing until October. Personally, I think this guy has misunderstood the letter as some weeks ago he was getting very anxious about another letter, which from what he told me sounded like the normal uprating letter you recidve around the turn of the financial year.
Any members on indefinite ite awards reported receiving pip invitations?

He tells me hes certain his current dla award is indefinite but this letter is, he believes inviting him to claim pip.

Hi mv,
We have not heard of anyone else who has an Indefinite DLA Award being invited to claim PIP unless they have instigated it themselves.
Are they sure that the letter that they are referring to is not the normal annual DLA uprating letter, as they included quite a bit of information on being transferred to PIP.
We have had a couple of members who were also confused by the letter.
Of course, if they have any doubts they should ring DLA ASAP.

micksville wrote: I think it was an uprating letter Bro....this guy was asking me all kinds of questions re pip over breakfast at the cafe some weeks ago. He bumped into me on the street earlier and started telling me about this letter. To be honest he was 'all over the place' and wasnt making any sense about it. I do know hes on dla for physichal issues rather than mental health issues and he maintains hes certain its an indefinite award. However, he couldnt tell me exactly what the letter was nor could he the other week when hed appardntly received an uprating letter. Could be somebodys reported a c of circs. Just thought other members might have started getting early invites for pip....watch this space. Im already preparing my submissions for post October.
Hi mv,
Yes, it "could" be someone else reporting them or it could be a review under :
The Right Payment Programme
Which would result in being reviewed under PIP criteria if in an Active PIP Postcode Area.
